In this course, we discussed wound healing, how to manage open wounds, and skin reconstruction techniques. Participants were then able to practise and consolidate the theoretical knowledge in the wet lab. The cadaver workshops included excision of common skin masses, tension-relieving techniques, subdermal pattern flaps, axial pattern flaps, and skin grafts. This course gave participants the confidence to customise their approach for each patient, helping them utilise wound management and skin reconstruction techniques to get those challenging wounds under control.

Delegates had plenty of opportunity to practise surgical techniques in a wet-lab setting.
