Day one of the workshop will focus on respiratory disease with tips and tricks of how to manage cats in respiratory distress including the practical skills of thoracocentesis, placement of Mila chest drains and performing quality blind BALs.
Day two will involve a practical session of when and how to place feeding tubes in cats, along with case based discussions about how to best approach and treat feline diabetes and diabetic ketoacidosis.
The workshop will be a combination of practical sessions and case studies to teach skills relevant to general practice. All of the techniques discussed can be performed with minimal equipment or investment so can help improve confidence and skill managing challenging feline medical cases from day one.
