Speaker Biography
Dr. Jason Spina DVM, DACVS-SA

Dr. Jason Spina earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from St. George’s University in 2009. Following graduation, he pursued advanced training through a residency in small animal surgery at Oregon State University. In 2013, Dr. Spina achieved board certification as a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons—Small Animal (DACVS-SA). After completing his board certification, Dr. Spina transitioned into private referral practice. Within this environment, he developed a particular interest in minimally invasive procedures, oncologic surgery, and urogenital interventions, refining his expertise in these specialized areas. Dr. Spina is passionate about teaching and mentoring aspiring veterinary professionals. He actively shares his expertise by providing seminars at the local Veterinary Medical Association (VMA), leading wet lab courses, and serving as a locum at the University, where he fosters the next generation of veterinarians.
