Periodontal disease is the most ubiquitous disease of small animals. in this workshop you will attain foundation knowledge to propel you into lifelong management of your patients.

Pre-requisites:
- A base understanding of periodontal disease
- Ability to take intraoral radiographs
- Understanding of regional anaesthesia used in dentistry
- An base understanding of dental anatomy and terminology

Dr. Kirsten L Hailstone
BSc BVMS DAVDC Board Certified Veterinary Dentist Registered Veterinary Specialist

Dr. Kirsten Hailstone is a Board Certified Veterinary Dentist, with a diploma from The American Veterinary Dental College, achieved in 2022 under the mentorship of Dr. David Clarke She is a director and owner at Adelaide Veterinary Dentistry and Oromaxillofacial Services where she works alongside a surgical registrar with the ECVS. At AVDOS Surgery and Dentistry combine to provide thoughtful solutions for complex companion animal oral and facial diseases and malocclusions.
In her role, Dr. Hailstone oversees the referral department offering treatment in orthodontics, facial fractures, treatment of oral and maxillofacial neoplasia, endodontics, periodontics, restoratives, and medical concerns involving the head and oral cavity of companion animals.
