Speaker Biography

Dr. Brian Beale DVM Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Surgery

Dr. Brian Beale is a board-certified small animal surgeon and CEO of Beale’s Best LLC, which operates advanced veterinary education centers in Park City, UT, and Baltimore, MD. Agraduate of the University of Florida, he completed a residency in small animal surgery and joined Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in 1992. His specialties include arthroscopy, minimally invasive surgery, fracture repair, joint replacement, arthritis treatment, and pain management.
Widely published and an international lecturer, Dr. Beale has served as president of the Veterinary Orthopedic Society and the Gulf Coast Veterinary Foundation, was named Specialty Veterinarian of the Year by the Texas VMA in 2010, and became an ACVS Founding Fellow of Minimally-Invasive Orthopedic Surgery in 2018. He currently performs surgery in Houston, Victoria, and Park City. Outside of work, he enjoys family time, tennis, golf, outdoor sports, and travel.

Dr. Damian Chase BVSc, MANZCVS, DECVS European and NZ Registered Specialist in Small Animal Surgery

Damian is a surgical specialist based at Veterinary Specialists Aotearoa and is a co-founder of Practical CPD. He graduated from Massey University in 1997 and spent a number of years in mixed animal practice before he completed his residency in small animal surgery at Glasgow University. Damian gained the Diploma for the European College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2011.
Damian has a keen interest in all aspects of surgery especially complex fracture fixation and reconstructive surgery. He also enjoys working with wildlife and has operated on a variety of different species such as chimpanzees, giraffes, and seals, including two trips to Cameroon to operate on lowland gorillas.

Dr. Charles A. Kuntz, DVM, MS, Diplomate ACVS, MANZCVSc, ACVS Founding Fellow of Surgical Oncology, Australian Registered Specialist in Small Animal Surgery

Dr. Charles Kuntz is a specialist veterinary surgeon and Founding Fellow of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in Surgical Oncology, recognised internationally for his contributions to small animal surgery and veterinary education. Over his career, he has performed thousands of complex surgical procedures, trained multiple surgical residents, and published extensively in the veterinary literature, including pioneering work in surgical oncology and neurosurgery.
Beyond the operating theatre, he is the founder of VetDojo, a leading educational platform and YouTube channel with over 70,000 subscribers, providing free and accessible continuing education to veterinarians worldwide. Dr. Kuntz is committed to advancing surgical standards, mentoring the next generation of veterinary specialists, and improving outcomes for pets and their families.
