Speaker Biography
Dr. Bec Tucker
BVSc (Hons) MANZCVS Small Animal Dentistry and Oral Surgery Diplomate, American Veterinary Dental College® Board Certified Veterinary Dentist™ Registered Specialist

Rebecca Tucker graduated from the University of Sydney with a BVSc (Hons) in 2007. She was awarded membership of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (MANZCVS) in Small Animal Dentistry and Oral Surgery in 2012 and became a Diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College in 2023.
Bec spent her first 7 years in small animal general practice in Port Macquarie and in Brisbane. It was during this time and through attendance of dental lectures and workshops Bec developed her passion for Veterinary Dentistry. Bec has been working in full-time dental referral practice since 2015.
Bec completed a residency in Veterinary Dentistry in 2018 prior to becoming a Director of Advanced Animal Dentistry. She then completed examinations and became a diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College in 2023. One of only 6 veterinarians in Australia with this qualification. In 2017, Bec took on the role of President of the Dentistry Chapter for the ANZCVS. She has also been an examiner on numerous occasions for veterinarians undertaking examination to obtain membership of the ANZCVS in small animal dentistry. Bec has also organised the scientific program for the dentistry chapter of the ANZCVS annual conference over several years.
Although Bec enjoys all aspects of dentistry and oral surgery, she finds reconstructive procedures such as jaw fracture and trauma repair to be very rewarding.
Dr. Aaron Forsayeth
BVSc (Hons) MACVSc (Veterinary Dentistry)

Aaron graduated from the University of Queensland in 1996. During his undergraduate study he attended zero dental lectures. Exposure to Veterinary Dentistry started immediately upon entering his first job at Roma Veterinary Clinic, where, like all other Veterinary clinics, dentistry was performed on a regular basis. This didn’t change when he moved to Mudgeeraba Animal Hospital on the Gold Coast, where dentistry was an even larger component of the daily caseload.
Aaron took it upon himself to pursue further training in Veterinary Dentistry, and in 2001 began hanging around Dr Gary Wilson, and undertaking an informal mentorship with him. Aaron obtained membership in Veterinary Dentistry of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in 2004, and soon after in 2006 created Advanced Animal Dentistry with his former mentor, Gary Wilson. Since that time Aaron has worked exclusively in Veterinary Dental referral practice.
Since 2018, after Gary’s retirement, Aaron now with Dr Bec Tucker runs one of the busiest Veterinary Dental practice in Australia, providing the majority of dental and oral surgery referral work in Southeast Queensland.
Value to your practice
The primary objective of this workshop is to empower participants with the skills and knowledge needed to return to small animal practice and adeptly administer the necessary treatments for their patients. Many of us find small animal dentistry challenging due to a notable gap in our skills in this domain as we enter practice. The acquisition of confidence in this area not only leads to enhanced proficiency but also translates into improved conversion rates and overall efficiency in delivering veterinary care.
