Description
Movora Education is pleased to present the Small Breeds Total Hip Replacement workshop.
Workshop Objectives
This full-day workshop allows participants to learn proper technique for the use of our Small Breeds Total Hip Replacement system, including BFX® (biologic fixation) press-fit acetabular stems and cups, in addition to CFX® (cemented) stems and cups.
BFX® Small Breeds implants and the corresponding surgical procedure were developed based on our standard line of press-fit implants, which are supported by over 30 years of clinical success.
Online Course
To enhance hands-on learning during laboratory exercises, the BioMedtrix® Universal Hip™ Small Breeds Online Course provides comprehensive educational materials and resources. The course includes reading assignments, visual aids, instructional videos, self-assessment activities, and moderated discussion forums. These components are designed to deepen the participating surgeon’s understanding and reinforce key concepts. Completion of the online course is mandatory before attending the hands-on lab sessions to ensure participants are fully prepared.
Product Mentorship
Completion of the Product Mentorship Program is required for surgeons who wish to offer total joint replacement as a viable option at their veterinary clinic. The program incurs additional cost and is designed to support new total joint replacement surgeons as they progress beyond attendance at a total joint replacement workshop, towards performing clinical total joint replacement procedures. Surgeons who complete this program will have demonstrated an understanding of the concepts necessary for successful clinical results. The program offers three potential pathways to practice the procedure, gain confidence, and validate a surgeon’s comprehension of the concepts required for successful clinical results. One of the following three pathways may be selected: Wet Lab (In-Person or Remote), Surgeon Assist, or Mentor Evaluation. Completion of the Mentorship Program is required to purchase implants from Movora for total joint replacement systems. The Product Mentorship Program is offered for the Universal Hip System, including both the Standard and Large Breeds System, as well as the Small Breeds System.
Prerequisites
Participants are required to have completed, at a minimum, Universal Hip Standard and Large Breeds Mentorship Program Case Evaluation, as well as the BioMedtrix Universal Hip Small
Breeds Total Hip Replacement Online Course.
